As a maritime nation with vast ocean areas, Japan plays an important role in solving global issues through the sustainable utilization of marine resources and the conservation of the marine environment. Furthermore, in the pursuit of realizing a super-smart society, the advancement of innovative initiatives in the marine sector, i.e. smart ocean, is expected through the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as IoT, AI, and robotics.
This forum will explore the latest advancements in ocean technologies and their potential for social implementation toward a super-smart society, under the theme “Fusion of Ocean and Technologies to Innovate Super Smart Society: Pioneering Solutions for Global Issues.” Through lectures by experts in various fields, we will address policy challenges and showcase cutting-edge research and technological advancements in marine resource observation, sustainable management, and global environmental conservation.
Through the sharing of diverse knowledge, this forum aims to provide a place where policymakers, researchers, and companies could obtain guidelines for building concrete initiatives for the future. We hope that this event will serve as a significant step toward solving global issues and contribute to the realization of the smart ocean.
