As in previous years, Tokyo Institute of Technology (Tokyo Tech) continued with its efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and help realize carbon neutrality by 2050. Tokyo Institute of Technology Environmental Report 2024 covers areas such as environmental management, performance, and education, as well as environmental research undertaken by Tokyo Tech researchers. Other topics include environmental conservation activities conducted with regional stakeholders, student-led initiatives, and an evaluation of Tokyo Tech’s FY 2023 environmental management activities in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals. The report is written in a simple style to appeal to younger readers such as middle and high school students.

Tokyo Medical and Dental University Environmental Report 2024

Tokyo Medical and Dental University (TMDU) and all its members are committed to fulfilling their mission in education, research, and healthcare based on the vision of “cultivating professionals with knowledge and humanity, thereby contributing to people’s well-being.” TMDU continued to actively work to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, including achieving carbon neutrality on its campuses, by implementing measures to conserve the environment, make effective use of resources, and conserve energy, in order to bring "total healthcare" to the world across all generations. Tokyo Medical and Dental University Environmental Report 2024 includes descriptions of TMDU’s environmentally conscious activities, diverse Sustainable Development Goal-related initiatives, specific results of efforts to contribute to social and economic development, and environmental management achievements.

History of environmental reports

Like businesses, national university corporations in Japan are required to compile and publish annual environmental reports that cover policies, targets, plans, and other factors concerning environmental conservation in accordance with the Law Concerning the Promotion of Business Activities with Environmental Consideration by Specified Corporations of 2004. Tokyo Tech and TMDU began publishing their reports in FY 2006.
