The era of “one-size-fits-all” healthcare is coming to an end. Advances in genomics, multi-omics, AI, and digital health technologies are making fully personalized medicine a reality—enabling more precise prevention, earlier diagnosis, and individualized treatment. Yet significant challenges remain in translating scientific breakthroughs into clinical practice while addressing the ethical and societal implications of increasingly data-driven healthcare.
Co-hosted by the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), Science Tokyo, and the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) Tokyo, this symposium brings together leading researchers, clinicians, innovators, and policymakers from Germany and Japan. Through keynote lectures, lightning talks, and panel discussions, participants will explore the latest advances in precision medicine and discuss how international collaboration can accelerate the future of personalized healthcare for super-aging societies.
